Hello ya'll! It's a new year and new beginnings. I keep getting friends or potential clients telling me they need to clean out their closets. The new year brings on this newfound perspective to clean up one's life. It's like how were you living with it looking that during the whole year of 2013. Anywho, I'm always asked for advice on how to tackle this situation. I won't give out my trade secrets otherwise I'd be out of a job, but I can give you some tips.
1) Never clean out your closet alone. Always have a friend or a professional assist with this task you've been dreading. You should always have a friend that doesn't have an ulterior motive, like wanting you to get rid of clothes so they can have them. 2) When cleaning, make 4 piles to go through later: keep, fix, get rid of, and maybes. Once you complete this you can review the piles later, you should have more clarity then. 3)Make some money off the good stuff you have, if it's hard to part with because of the worth try taking it to a consignment store. If you have the money to hire a professional, it's always preferred because they can help you with a vision for your closet as well as get rid of the clothes or consign them for you. This is important because some of my clients hate taking the clothes out of the house themselves, even though it's only to a local Goodwill or charity store. If you hire us to do it we can take care of it and we can even help you to coordinate all of the items in your closet in a way you never knew. That's all I'm sharing for now. Ciao Bella!
